Korea Airports and Business Class Lounges
The busiest airports in Korea are Incheon International Airport, Jeju International Airport, Gimpo International Airport, and Gimhae International Airport. After taking business class flights to Korea, you’ll be granted special access to Korea’s airport’s business class lounges. Traveling in Asia can be an overwhelming experience for foreign travelers. Not being able to speak the language can be a stressful barrier that takes some time to get used to. That’s why having a designated place to rest and regroup can be an invaluable asset. These lounges are just that. With optimally comfortable seating, and entertainment options galore, you’ll be able to leave the airport feeling as though you’re ready for the challenge. Getting past language barriers and dealing with culture shock are some of the pleasures of traveling. If you do it while frazzled and tired from a long flight, though, you may be starting your trip on the wrong foot. Another absolute lifesaver is the ability to hop into one of the lounge’s complimentary showers. We all know you can feel a bit stale after such a long flight. Rinse off and feel the bliss of cleanliness before you even get to your hotel. The business class lounges of these airports are just another perk of taking business class flights to Korea.
Things To Do In Korea
If you’ve been following the news at all, you’re probably aware that you’ll be spending most of your time in the country of South Korea, rather than the North. That’s okay, because South Korea is one of the most exciting nations on Earth.
South Korea’s capital city, Seoul, is one of the world’s major cities. With serene nature preserves, and an ultra-modern underbelly, Seoul is a truly amazing city. Begin by taking a guided tour of Changdeokgung, an incredibly beautiful palace. Originally constructed in 1405, Changdeokgung is home to both pristine gardens, and functional government buildings. Steeping in history, this South Korean treasure is listed as a world heritage site for a reason. Be sure to book your tickets online, and with time to spare, as this is a very popular tourist site.
If you’re feeling like a free spirit, you have to check out the Boryeong Mud Festival. Held every July since 1997 on Daechon Beach, the festival was started as a way to promote the positive health effects of mud. Containing germanium, and other minerals, it’s believed that this special mud is something of a cure-all. Now more of a party than a public service announcement, revelers go wild, while covered in deep grey mud. Once the drinks start flowing, attendees better hope that the mud also acts as a hangover cure. Lucky for these dirty partiers, the ocean is mere steps away. Sometimes the only better feeling than dousing yourself in mud, is washing it off. If you’re interested in taking part, you’ll be happy to know that lockers are available to store an extra set of clothes. That way you won’t have to go out to dinner covered in muck. The day is capped off with a dazzling exhibit of fireworks.
Getting Around Korea
The larger cities in Korea have cheap and efficient subway systems. The subway is a really good way for tourists to get around, because its signs feature English writing as well as Korean. Unlike other Asian city’s subways, you won’t be scratching your head, trying to figure out which train to get on. The country’s buses are also inexpensive and cover a vast distance, but navigating them can be more difficult. If you don’t feel like trying to figure out any of the transit options, taxis are reasonably priced, and easy to find. Korea’s taxis charge based on meters, and tipping is not customary. Be aware that in most cities, taxi fare will go up slightly, after midnight. When traveling between cities, there are a number of discount airlines. These plane trips won’t be as luxurious as taking business class flights to Korea, but few things are.
Whether it’s the country’s incredible history and amazing landscapes you’re after, or its vibrant clubbing scene, you won’t regret visiting Korea. With so much to see, and even more to learn, this is a trip that will have your brain buzzing. You’ll return home with a new appreciation of the Korean culture and its people. Bon voyage!
